What do they tell us ?

OK, so it's pretty irrelevant if it's going to rain if your into water sports. But a quick glance at the latest weather map can tell you not just if it's going to be bright and sunny, but also general pointers such as whether the winds may be squally, or if sea breezes will develop during the day.
