1. Dial the appropriate number

2. Wait until the line connects and you hear "please press start on your fax machine". If there's no sound coming out of your fax machine then simply wait 10 seconds after dialling and then ...

3. Press the Start / Send button.

 

For this you need a computer with a modem and fax software, and a normal telephone on the same phone line.

1. Open the fax software.

2. Dial the appropriate number using the telephone that is connected to the same phone line as the computer.

3. When you hear "please press start on your fax machine", press "Receive-Manual Receive" or similar in your fax software. The software should then automatically connect, receive the fax and disconnect.
